Dr. Wang was graduated from Jilin University with a PhD in medical genomics, a postdoctoral fellow of Peking University, and a visiting scholar at the Medical College of the University of Southern California. He is the Director of China Bioengineering Society and China Pharmaceutical Biotechnology Association. He has been focused on the research of new drug development and mechanism of action of cell growth factor functional protein, established a full-chain new drug research technology system from FGFs original drug design, engineering strain cloning, downstream process development to pharmacological and toxicological drug evaluation, and obtained three clinical approvals for new drugs, whose results were transformed into nearly RMB 100 million. Related research has been published in journals such as Advance Functional Materials, Journal Investigative Dermatology, Appl Microbiol Biotechnol, etc. He has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award (2018), the first prize of the Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education (2016) and the first prize of the Natural Science Award of Zhejiang Province (2020).

本团队聚焦细胞生长因子功能蛋白新药开发及作用机制研究，建立从 FGFs 原创药物设计、工程菌株克隆、下游工艺开发到药理毒理成药性评价及分子机制解析的全链条新药研究技术体系，攻克 FGFs 成药技术瓶颈，目前已获得一类新药临床批件3项。
